Your role and responsibilities

Flowdesk is seeking a Technical Product Manager (TPM) to establish, grow and lead the newly created Market Operations Technology team, reporting directly to the COO, Paul Bugnot. This role will act as the leader of the Universal Transaction Ledger (UTL) initiative and future middle-office technical solutions, driving operational efficiency and scalability in our trading and financial activities. The TPM will ensure seamless cross-functional collaboration while taking full ownership of designing, delivering, and expanding Flowdesk’s back-office infrastructure.

 

Missions?

Product Ownership; Lead the end-to-end development of the Universal Transaction Ledger (UTL), Flowdesk’s unified system for managing, booking, and monitoring asset movements across all business lines (OTC, Market Making, Proprietary Trading).

Strategic Leadership; Build and manage the Market Operations Technology team, comprising

  • Market Operation System Engineers
  • Data Integration Specialists
  • Compliance & Risk Data Engineers
  • Trading Ops Engineers

Project Delivery; Develop and execute a phased delivery plan for the UTL, targeting full implementation by Q3 2025, while achieving incremental milestones to support operational needs.

Cross-Functional Collaboration; Act as the central point of coordination with Trading Ops, Business Ops, Finance, and Compliance to align project goals with Flowdesk’s broader operational and regulatory requirements.

Middle-Office Innovation; Design and implement other critical technical solutions like transfer aggregation tools, auto-rebalancers, and enhanced trade reconciliation systems.

Data Management; Oversee integration with internal and external systems (e.g., Haruko, Fireblocks, Chainalysis) to ensure real-time risk monitoring, automated compliance checks, and efficient reconciliation processes.

Stakeholder Alignment; Drive alignment among diverse teams to ensure operational priorities and deliverables are well-communicated and executed.

Requirements

Background and experience

  • Minimum 5 years of product management experience in financial systems, with at least 2 years in a crypto-related middle-office environment.
  • Technical Knowledge and proficiency in Middle-office technologies, including custody, trade reconciliation, and settlement systems. Blockchain-specific tools like Fireblocks, Chainalysis, and Elliptic. SQL, API integrations, and data pipeline management.
  • Leadership; Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage technical talent.
  • Tools; Familiarity with project management frameworks (Jira, Confluence) and agile delivery practices.
  • Education; Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Visionary leadership with the ability to inspire and build a high-performing team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle complex middle-office challenges.
  • Effective communication to align diverse stakeholders across technical and operational domains.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering impactful, scalable solutions.
